Bowie State University's Data Science and Analytics (DSA) Initiative offers undergraduate students campus-wide a 9-week summer Data Science and Analytics research experience, known as DSA SURI. Under this summer program, faculty from various disciplines actively mentor and guide student researchers on new innovative research projects and papers.
This Summer of 2020, due to COVID-19, DSA SURI moved to an online virtual environment. Eleven faculty mentors with ten student researchers made up five teams of the DSA focused research groups. To conclude this exciting summer program, Bowie State University's DSA Initiative will host a Virtual Undergraduate Research Symposium on July 28th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Please join our BSU students as they present their findings on topics related to the Human Genome, COVID-19's impact on creative destruction, economically vulnerable communities, mergers, acquisitions, and much more!
